Cheese & Bacon Dog Treats
INGREDIENTS
-200gm Rolled Oats
-3 slices of bacon (not too fatty) diced
-100 gm Mild cheddar cheese grated
-Handful of flour
-2 fresh eggs beaten
METHOD
Heat the oven to 180c or 350f and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper/baking parchment
1) In a food mixer/processor add the rolled oats, bacon and cheese on a medium to fast speed
2) Process the mixture until it has a crumb like consistency
3) Add the beaten eggs.
4) Process again on a medium speed until it is dough like
5) Dust the work surface with the flour
6) Remove the dough and place on the flour
7) Roll out the dough using a floured rolling pin or equivalent to about a quarter inch thick
8) Cut out shapes using your choice of cutter
9) Transfer to the baking tray and bake for 15/20 mins
10) Remove from the oven; allow to cool thoroughly before treating your canine friend. Store in an airtight container (and out of reach of any clever dogs!)
